Check out our talented and well educated 8th graders! The 8th grade students at Sheboygan Leadership Academy performed skits depicting going into a restaurant, ordering food, eating and paying the bill speaking only in Spanish. There are three different groups performing different skits. They did a great job!

Service Learning in Action!

Students create a labeling system to assist food pantry workers at Salvation Army as part of a Service Learning project.

The eighth-grade students from Sheboygan Leadership Academy toured the Salvation Army several weeks ago. From that tour, a food labeling process was identified as a need for the Salvation Army. Students created a color-coded, magnetic labeling system to aid the food pantry workers in quickly identifying the location of a wide variety of food. The students are presenting their labeling system this Friday at the Salvation Army.

Six Blue Ribbons Awarded to SLA Students!

Six Blue Ribbons were awarded to five of our students at the Middle School Music Festival held on February 16th. The first place ribbons were earned for a trumpet solo, flute solo, piano solo, vocal solo and a vocal duet. Special thanks go to Mrs. Reabe, our band teacher, and Mrs. Hilbelink, our music teacher! We are very proud of these teachers and students for sharing their talents and representing our school so well!

Virtue of the Week: Honor

Honor is living by the virtues, showing great respect for yourself, other people, and the rules you live by.

One way we practice honor is by setting a good example for others and respecting the rules we want to live by.

Are your children practicing honor at home? Do they set a good example for their siblings and friends? Are they respectful of rules when they are at home or out in public? Can they be trusted to keep their promises?
